Into the clutches
Of depression when
A storm hits
And every peal
Of thunder breaks
Their heart a
Little more, each
Flash of lightening
Illuminating the tears
On her face.
Even demons can
Feel the sharp
Stab of pain
That comes from
Disappointment and being
Held at arm's length.
What I'm trying
To say is
I'm sorry that
I'm not perfect
Like you are.
When they feel
